Stop the presses: rockets use physics

The name itself is idiotic: 'algorithmic trading' ?

Eleven centuries after the arithmetical discoveries of the Persian mathematician al-Khwarizmi, after whom they are named, algorithms are coming of age in the world's most sophisticated stock markets.

The article has no details on what algorithms are being used, and a series of pointless quotes about their impact. The whole tone is annoying: as if algorithms are this exotic new beast....
